Connecticut Cannabis Sales Topped $23 Million In June 2025

Legal adult-use cannabis sales launched in Connecticut roughly 2.5 years ago, and since that time, the state’s emerging industry has increased in market value. According to the most recent data from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, combined medical and adult-use sales totaled $23,818,986.28 in June 2025.

For contextual purposes, legal sales in January 2023 totaled $13,173,643.77, of which roughly $8 million came from medical cannabis sales and roughly $5.1 million came from adult-use cannabis sales. As is typically the case in jurisdictions that launched medical cannabis sales before later launching recreational cannabis sales, Connecticut’s adult-use cannabis sales eventually rose as medical cannabis sales lowered.

The remaining 3% of sales come from “Pill, Capsule, Non Smokable Infused Extract, Tincture, Marijuana Infused Topicals, Liquid Marijuana RSO, Marijuana Mix Infused, Lozenge” according to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.
