Hemp Seltzers Market Value Estimated To Reach $1 Billion By 2033

Hemp-derived drinks and beverages have grown in popularity and availability in many markets in recent years, especially in the United States market. Federal lawmakers approved the 2018 Farm Bill, which legalized hemp production nationwide, and one of the most popular hemp-derived products that resulted was hemp seltzers.

The hemp seltzer market is booming, as evidenced by a recent market value projection by Verified Market Report, which found that “hemp-infused seltzers market revenue was valued at USD 200 million in 2024 and is estimated to reach USD 1 billion by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 18.5% from 2026 to 2033.”

Increased interest in the hemp-derived beverages sector in the United States has resulted in the creation of a new organization, the Hemp Beverage Alliance. The Alliance describes itself as creating “a safe and thriving industry through education, advocacy, best practices and partnership.”

Hemp beverage sector advocacy is more important than ever, given the fact that many state and federal lawmakers are targeting hemp-derived drinks in their legislation, aiming to re-prohibit hemp-derived beverages and other hemp consumables.

“As consumer demand fuels booming market growth and states rush to create regulatory frameworks, the Hemp Beverage Alliance is thrilled to provide the opportunity for brands, distributors, regulators, investors and all stakeholders to connect and build a safe, sustainable and innovative industry,” said Christopher Lackner, founder and president of the Hemp Beverage Alliance, leading up to the recent Hemp Beverage Expo.

During his presentation at the International Cannabis Business Conference in Berlin, Germany, in April 2025, leading international cannabis economist Beau Whitney, founder of Whitney Economics, projected that the value of the wider global industrial hemp industry could be as much as $456.2 billion if mainstream industries harnessed hemp as a production input.

A recent market analysis and report by Vangst Staffing and Whitney Economics determined that the legal cannabis industry in the United States sold roughly $30.1 billion worth of cannabis products in 2024, including infused drinks and beverages. The report also found that the legal U.S. industry supports 425,000 full-time jobs.
