Michigan Sold $259.7 Million Worth Of Legal Cannabis In November 2025

Michigan is a special place when it comes to cannabis activity. From a consumer standpoint, it is arguably the best market to be in because cannabis prices are so low, and the quality of cannabis products is world-class. The only other U.S. market that can compete with Michigan in terms of cost and quality is Oregon.

Unfortunately, the same factors that make Michigan a great place to be a consumer also make it a challenging market for industry operators. The profit margins on legal cannabis products in Michigan are thin, and competition is fierce.

Michigan’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency published its monthly report for November 2025, and the state’s legal cannabis market sold $259.7 million worth of products (medical and recreational combined). Adult-use cannabis sales made up a bulk of that figure, totaling $259,348,705.22 for November. Below is a breakdown by product type from the report:

Legal medical sales totaled $368,554.37. Below is a breakdown of product types:

“Michigan cannabis sales for November fell from a year ago as they fell sequentially by 3.0%, which was +0.2% on a per-day basis. At $259.7 million, sales were down 6.0% from a year earlier,” reported New Cannabis Ventures in its original coverage. “As supply continues to expand, flower pricing for adult-use has seen a dramatic decline. In October, the average price of $957 per pound, fell 3.4% sequentially to a new record low and declined 16.8% from a year ago.”

“Over the past 24 months, the market has shown resilience, with monthly sales consistently ranging between $240 million and $295 million. While the market experienced some volatility—such as a notable dip in early 2025 followed by a strong rebound in March—overall, Michigan’s cannabis industry demonstrates a pattern of steady demand.” states cannabis industry data company Headset.

“Pricing in Michigan is among the most competitive in the country. The average item price in November 2025 was $8.24, down from $10.04 a year prior. This downward trend in pricing is a result of increased competition, greater product variety, and consumer price sensitivity. The lower price point has contributed to higher unit sales, with over 31 million units sold in November 2025—a 14.4% increase year-over-year—showing that affordability is driving volume even as total dollar sales plateau.” Headset also stated.
