Missouri Cannabis Sales Top $125 Million In June 2025

Missouri’s legal cannabis industry continued to post strong sales numbers in June 2025, albeit a bit lower compared to the previous month. According to the most recent sales data from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, total sales for both adult-use cannabis and medical cannabis topped $125 million in June 2025.

Recreational cannabis sales totaled $110.6 million in June 2025, which was about $7 million less in total adult-use sales in Missouri compared to the previous month. Medical cannabis sales for June 2025 in Missouri totaled about $14.5 million, which was also a decrease compared to May 2025 by about $1 million. Below is a graph of monthly sales totals from Missouri:

As you can see from the graph above, legal adult-use cannabis sales have remained fairly steady in Missouri since 2023. Meanwhile, legal medical cannabis sales dipped after the launch of recreational cannabis sales, but have since remained fairly consistent.

Missouri is one of twenty four states in the U.S. that has adopted an adult-use cannabis legalization measure. Only one of those states, Virginia, still prohibits adult-use cannabis sales, although several recreational states are still in the process of launching cannabis sales.

Currently, forty states in the U.S. have adopted medical cannabis legalization measures, with most of them permitting some form of legal medical cannabis sales. Missouri also has a large legal hemp industry, although the hemp sector faces a growing set of new regulations in Missouri, which is true in most other states right now.
